How did YOU I get here (chime in Deborah Cox)?
Seriously, how did I get here?
I remember in H.S., one of my electives was an Art class. I can't recall taking this class immediately provoked me to become an artist. I struggled to figure out who I was and what I wanted to do with my life. I knew taking this class evoked the joy of creating. I kept a few of my drawings; one particular drawing, I'm drawn to has 3 different size vases in front of a window seal. I posted this 'masterpiece' on my IG page.
It's my masterpiece because I'm proud of it. I kept it for over 30 years, so it means something to me.
Fast-forward to 7 months from my layoff, I knew I wanted to sell my artwork, and wow, here's an opportunity, to at least stick my big toe in the water. Not only that, with the passing of my father, helping my mom get situated was also an opportunity to have this free time. In 2021, the majority of I've already created pieces in 2021, still wanting to sell, but too afraid to do so.
